A gold medalist in MBA from NMIMS University in Mumbai and an honorary doctorate from the International University of America in London, Dr. Chandan Aggarwal is an aspiring educationist and a visionary who envisioned bridging the growing education gap in India and establishing it at par with global standards. Understanding the grappling issues of the system and recognizing the need for a reformation, Dr. Chandan adopted an enterprising social approach and presented the best practices from across the world to his groups of schools and institutes. With a keen desire to achieve his dream of holistic education, Dr. Chandan devoted all his efforts to establishing G.D. Goenka Public School in Kanpur, G. D. Goenka Toddler House in Lucknow, La Petite Montessori in Kanpur and G.D. Goenka Montessori School in Kanpur under the aegis of the famous G.D. Goenka Trust from Delhi. Incorporating some of the best values and practices that would enable and offer a healthy learning environment to students, he introduced several new-age features in the school, such as digital smart classrooms, sports, and extracurricular rooms, fully air-conditioned facilities, a world-class cafeteria, safe school practices, an extensive international library that are setting global benchmarks in the education sector of the state.

Dr. Chandan shares, “In my opinion imparting quality education is never restricted to mere marks or lectures. It flows into sports and all the other extra-curricular activities. As an educationist, I take it as my responsibility to ensure that students are trained across all the spheres that interest them.”

He is also the Director of M. S. Dhoni Cricket & Jwala Gutta Badminton Academy, which aims to encourage and develop sports enthusiasts and offer them a platform to nurture and hone their skills.

In a little more than a decade since its inception, G.D. Goenka Public School, Kanpur, has become synonymous with a name to reckon with that has changed the education landscape in the state of UP and its neighbouring locations.
