Schools across Gloucestershire have started to notify parents about how they will be impacted by more strikes by teachers. Two days of industrial action in England have been planned for Wednesday and Thursday this week (March 15 and 16) by members of the National Education Union.
It is the latest series of walkouts in an ongoing dispute over pay that has affected dozens of schools across the county in February and this month. Information about school closures and partial closures are shared by the county council.
Members of the National Education Union (NEU) were due to take industrial action in Wales on March 15-16 in an ongoing dispute over pay. But the NEU, the largest education union in the UK, has announced that the strikes in Wales will be suspended while members consider the pay offer.
